How to Measure Your Helmet Size Correctly: To find the right helmet size, measure your head circumference with a flexible measuring tape.
It is important that the measuring tape runs at the widest point of the head – only then will you get an accurate result.
Place the measuring tape about 1–2 cm above the eyebrows at the front and run it along the sides above the ears.
At the back, the measuring tape should run over the largest point at the back of the head (not too deep in the neck). The tape may run slightly diagonally – what matters is that it fits snugly around the largest circumference points of the head.
Make sure the measuring tape is snug but not cutting in. It’s best to measure 2–3 times to get the most accurate result. You can then compare the measured value in centimeters (cm) with our size chart.
Tips for an Accurate Result
- Lay hair flat (e.g., do not measure with a voluminous hairstyle)
- Run the measuring tape horizontally or along the largest circumference
- Do not measure too loosely
- For values between two sizes:
→ usually choose the larger size (depending on helmet model/fit)
Important for Fit
The right helmet should fit snugly without causing uncomfortable pressure points.
A new helmet may feel a bit tighter at first, as the inner padding will adjust slightly over time.

Fits like a glove
A racing helmet has to stay put when your chin almost touches the tank. That is why Nexx relies on the 360° Custom Fit inside:
- Pads at the head and cheeks interchangeable in different thicknesses
- X-Mart Dry fabric that lets sweat dry quickly
- Complete liner removable and washable
- Room for glasses arms according to the manual
Four outer shells (XXS-S, M, L, XL-XXL) mean the helmet grows with your head and does not have to be padded out. Before ordering, measure your head circumference and have the size chart to hand.
Fresh air for hot turns
Eight openings at the front, five at the back: the X.R5R breathes hard. Chin and crown vents can be closed separately, and more air flows in over the cheek pads. The Air-Cumbs chamber in the liner spreads the draught before the exhausts draw it off at the rear. On top of that, the light colour absorbs less sun heat than a black helmet.

The design: Jaggo in blue and red
Broad, powdery light-blue surfaces run from the chin bar across the cheek to the eye port. In them, and on the exposed carbon of the crown and spoiler, sit irregular rosettes in stronger blue and slate grey, a fur pattern in cool tones. Nexx uses red deliberately as an accent: one panel on the forehead above the visor and one at the front of the chin bar, exactly where the eye falls from the front. On the crown a silver R gleams with a fine red X-PRO Carbon lettering, and on the side Nexx appears in white. Whether the blue surfaces are matt or glossy, Nexx does not state. After riding in the rain dirt shows faster on light blue, so give it a quick wipe.
