HEATING TECHNOLOGY

The “sport” model has a heating fabric specially developed by KLS. If you talk about distances between the heating elements of 1-2mm for carbon fiber fabric, these distances are around 8mm for sport. In terms of heat-up time and evenness, it does not quite achieve the performance of our carbon fiber technology, but it is still clearly superior to other products with the usual silicone heating wires. With these, the distances between the heating wires are usually in the range of> 25mm!

Our heating element in the sport model is a metal, glass fiber, Kevlar construction which, in addition to the highest level of evenness, is also characterized by excellent mechanical strength. A very long service life can therefore also be assumed here.

A precision thermostat with ultra-low control hysteresis is also used for sports. The target temperature is 85 ° C.

At 20 ° C ambient temperature approx. 35 minutes to 85 ° C tire temperature and approx. 40 ° C rim temperature.

As with the “comp”, the “sport” is equipped with a red LED indicator. The LED signals the active heating mode (LED = on) or the control activity of the thermostat (thermostat off = LED off).

A central Velcro flap and elastic bands incorporated on the side enable quick and easy assembly and disassembly. Our tension spring integrated in the tire warmer (protected by utility model!) Has proven its worth for fixing to the tire. There is no longer any fiddly threading of a Velcro strip through the rims.

Power is supplied via an approx. 1.8 m long connection cable with a Euro plug.
