 This system was developed to optimize the power and torque of the 660 cc parallel twin engine. It has an EC / ECE type approval and complies with the Euro 5 standard. The catalytic converter is located in the front of the pre-muffler to ensure that the system is fully compliant. The system is plug-and-play and does not require any reprogramming. The system made of high quality carbon and stainless steel as well as light titanium was developed using race-proven materials. It was developed to emphasize the racing look of the machine and is 0.4 kg lighter than the standard system. Tests on Akrapovič's in-house test bench showed a comparison of motorcycles with a Racing Line (carbon) system and a standard exhaust system an increase in performance of 2.4 HP at 11,200 rpm and a torque increase of 3.6 Nm at 4,550 rpm, which gives the driver an improved throttle response. The deep, full and sporty sound as well as the pulsation of the parallel twin creates the feeling of driving a motorcycle with a larger displacement and makes the Akrapovič Racing Line (carbon) for the Aprilia RS 660 the ideal exhaust system for this medium-weight sports motorcycle.
